Retired IAS MGVK Bhanu to contest Tezpur Lok Sabha seat under Congress banner

Guwahati, February 7, 2019:

Retired Additional Chief Secretary to the Assam Government, MGVK Bhanu (IAS) is likely to join the Congress party on February 11.

Bhanu retired from his service last year as the Additional Chief Secretary to the Labour and Welfare Department, Assam.

According to the political sources, the retired IAS officer will contest from Tezpur Lok Sabha constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

It may be mentioned that Bhanu is a strong contender of the upcoming election as he commands immense respect in the region. It is to be mentioned that he finished many developmental projects during his period of service in the state.

On the other hand, he was expected to have participated from the Bharatiya Janata Party.
