RGI extends the date of NRC to June 30

Guwahati, December 27, 2018:

The Registrar General of India (RGI) on Thursday has extended the date for the claims and objectives of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) upgradation process for the complete draft to June 30, 2019.

Earlier the deadline was set till December 31 of this year.

It may be mentioned that, the government of Assam urged the Supreme Court to entend the deadline of claims and objectives to which the Supreme Court has replied in support of the plea.
