Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora met party in-charge of Assam Jitendra Singh and made him aware of the party’s status.
Both Bora and Singh discussed about the alliance ahead of the upcoming assembly election. Speaking on the suspension of the MPs from the Upper House, Bora said that the government tried to make the opposition speechless but we will stand for the farmers and will support the farmers in every possible way.

He further stated that they have also discussed regarding the Clause 6 of the Assam Accord raising question against the government as did they do for the last 6-7 months. Talking about the alliance with Assam Jatiya Parishad, Bora said that the door of Congress is always open but it couldn’t hamper the Congress even if they don’t want to join hands with us. Our organizational root is always powerful but we urge them to come forward in order to defeat BJP, said Bora.
