Earlier today, the Dimasa Student Union (DSU) inspected India's longest PMGAY project in Dima Hasao district of Assam. A delegate of Dimasa Student Union, including the president of the body, inspected Mahur-Laisong road which length is about 63 kms in length and will cost the Government 48 crores 48 lakhs.

The work was allotted to the ABCI infrastructure pvt ltd construction company on March 12, 2019 but during this long period of one year, only 500 meters of the total work has been completed. The standard of the work is so poor that the topping can be removed by hand, it was observed.

The president of DSU, Pramith Sengyung, said that the mentioned company in this long period of one year has completed only 500 meters and alleged "low standard."

He said, "The road that is going on, we inspected it and saw that the work is substandard. We want to tell the ABCI infrastructure pvt ltd that the people of Dima Hasao will not tolerate.

The student leader further opined that the company is only interested in the maintenance work and alleged of a nexus of corruption relating to the entire operation. "If this third class work persists", he further warned, "we will never tolerate it."

He also said that the people of Dima Hasao will not tolerate this low standard quality work and added that there is a huge corruption in behind the entire project.
