With the Lok Sabha elections in the country about to commence, the lives of the police and flying squads have become very busy as huge sums of suspicious money is being too-and-fro by suspicious individuals in what can be surmised as election-related activities.

In the latest development, flying squads and police have together recovered an amount of Rs. 3 lakh from two Bhutanese individuals from Runikhata Assam’s Chirang district on Friday.

The two Bhutanese individuals have been identified as Digmay Dorji and Rinchan Trechigeng.

The cash was being carried in a Scorpio car bearing the registration number AS 01 DV 1033 and the driver of the vehicle has been identified as a certain Anowar Hussain.

It may be mentioned that a spate of similar incidents has occurred across the North-East region in recent times.

On Friday, Rs. 2.5 lakh was recovered in Assam’s Kokrajhar district.
