The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Thursday seized around Rs. 49.98 lakh of cash from Lumding railway station
The cash has been seized from two women travelling by Guwahati-Dimapur BG Express.
The duo has been identified as Arati Halder and Gayatri Halder. On the women revealed that they brought the money for one named Abdul of Bokajan.
According to GRP, the women brought the money from Guwahati to Bokajan.
A case in connection with the recovery of money in Lumding railway station last night is registered vide Lumding GRPS case no. 15/19 u/s 379 IPC and both the apprehended ladies are being forwarded to the court today.
CDR analysis, ascertaining the source of money, etc are being done in connection with the case.
