GUWAHATI: Right wing activist Satya Ranjan Bora today said he played Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s trademark “helicopter shot” against Assam cabinet minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s “googly” during his interrogation by Assam Police’s CID here this afternoon.
Coming out after a three-hour-long interrogation in connection with a reportedly doctored video of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief Badruddin Ajmal, Bora said there was basically nothing for the sleuths to question him.
“I played the helicopter shot against Himanta Biswa Sarma’s googly. All I did in three hours in the CID headquarters was sit, relax and entertained with tea etc. I was asked only few basic questions which were relevant to me. Afterall, there was not much to ask me because I am not connected at all with the case,” Bora told InsideNE.

Bora was summoned under CID police station’s case No. 03/2021 under Sec 153 (A)/295 (A)/505 (2) of IPC.
According to the Hindutva activist, he was summoned after Legal Rights Observatory (LRO), the web page where the video was supposedly surfaced first, has claimed to have received the video from Bora.
The saffron clad activist said he shared the link of the purportedly doctored video like thousands of others did. He also alleged that he was probably summoned because he recently questioned if minister Sarma was somehow connected with the repeated posts of fake videos concerning Ajmal on social media.
