SC senior advocate Upamanyu Hazarika files nominations

Guwahati, April 3, 2019:

Senior advocate of Supreme Court, Upamanyu Hazarika on Wednesday filed his nomination papers for the Gauhati Lok Sabha to the returning officer, Kamal Kumar Baishya.

Upamanyu Hazarika after filing his nominations said that he has been contesting in the Lok Sabha elections to protect the identity of Assam and for the rights of the indigenous people. He added, “I want to work for the indigenous people of Assam as that national political party does not care about our problems.”

It may be mentioned that Hazarika will be battling against Congress candidate Bobbeeta Sharma and Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Queen Ojha.
