LAHARIGHAT: In a major breakthrough Assam Police have arrested as many as seven persons in connection with the ongoing cybercrime cycle in Morigaon district of Assam.
A team of Assam police led by Adit Boro, in charge of the Lahirighat Police Station, arrested six accused persons yesterday and seized 107 SIM cards and 10 Aadhaar cards, two PAN cards, two swift machine
The arrested persons have been identified as -- Zainul Haque, Mosharraf Islam, Asadul Islam, Rashidul Hoque, Ferdus Alam, Irshwad Parvez, and Saddam Hussain.

According to sources, some of these accused persons have been using various applications on their mobiles to get loans by using fake Aadhaar cards and SIM cards in the names of different people.
A case (C / NO-596/21 U / S-120 (B) / 419/420/468/471/34) was registered against those accused at the Laharighat Police Station under R / W SEC- 66 (C) 66 (D) of IT Act.
