Seventeen ULFA-I Linkmen arrested in Guwahati

Guwahati, November 24, 2018:

The Guwahati Police have arrested 17 United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) linkmen from various locations of the city on Saturday.

Each linkman was arrested for several cases related to the ULFA-I activities and are currently being interrogated by the police.

Police officials said that the police have arrested these men as precaution because over the past few days the activities of the militant outfits have increased to a great extend.

The police are keeping a strict vigil on the hilly areas of the city. Police have increased patrolling in areas such as Noonmati, Paltanbazar and other such neighborhoods.
