Kokrajhar: In a shocking incident reported from Assam's Kokrajhar district, five members of a family, including 3 women, reportedly committed suicide inside their house on Monday night.

The terrifying incident took place at Tulsibil bazar under Gossaigaon subdivision in Kokrajhar district. Five members of a single family reportedly committed suicide in the house of a certain Nirmal Paul at Tulsibil bazar under Gossaigaon police station.
Apart from Nirmal, his family members -- identified as Mollika Paul, Niha Paul, Dipa Paul and Puja Paul -- also ended their lives.
The Paul family had been residing at the Tulsibil Bazar for several long years. Locals have said that the Paul family members -- a fixture in the locality -- were not seen in the morning and later found hanging in their house.

As soon as this came to light, police rushed to the spot and have started an investigation into the matter. It is yet to be known why the members of the family committed suicide. Locals of Gossaigaon have insinuated that there might have been some problems within the family which perhaps led them to take this drastic measure.
