Shyamaprasad Chakraborty, Karimganj DSP, dies due to stroke

KARIMGANJ: Shyamaprasad Chakraborty, the Karimganj Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), was found dead in his quarter yesterday morning.

"Her died due to stroke, prima facie. Meanwhile, medical investigations are underway to determine underlying causes, but as per the department's knowledge, he passed away due to a stroke. Foul play has been ruled out," Mayank Kumar Jha, the Superintendent of Karimganj, told Inside Northeast.

As per reports, when the DSP didn’t come out of the quarter in the morning, his colleagues broke into his quarters and found him dead lying on his bed. The body was sent for postmortem soon after.

His colleagues later paid respects to him with a gun salute and then handed over the body to the family members.
