GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court recently denied the bail plea of one of the prime accused in the SI Exam scam of Assam Police and former Superintendent of Police of Karimganj, Kumar Sanjit Krishna.
According to reports, the court also denied bail to eight others, along with Krishna.
Opposing the bail prosecutor PP Baruah said, “If bail is granted to the accused at the present stage of investigation, the process of the ongoing investigation is likely to be adversely affected as some of the suspected persons involved in the recruitment scam are yet to be arrested.”
Last month, the CID conducted raids at officer Sanjit Krishna's residence at Kachari Basti and ASP Dutta's house at Six Mile in Guwahati in search of evidence connecting them to the case
