SI Scam: Jaydip Borooah arrested,recovered lakhs

A research operation was carried out today by CID in the rented house of Jaydip Borooah located in Nabagiri Path under Chandmari Police Station.

Jaydip Borooah was arrested by CID in case of the Sub-Inspector recruitment scam and was admitted to GMCH as he had tested COVID positive, after his arrest.

He was produced before court which allowed police remand of 5 days.

Based on his confession and as led by him, CID recovered Rs. 2488300 (twenty four Lac eighty eight thousand three hundred)which was kept in a bag in presence of executive magistrate and independent witnesses.

Entire process of search and seizure was videographed.

handed over the bag containing cash to Jaydeep Borooah with instruction to conceal it.

Jaydeep Borooah was an employee of P K Dutta.
