Six IPL gamblers arrested in Assam’s Kaliabor district

Kaliabor, May 8, 2019:

The Ambagan Police on Tuesday night arrested six IPL gamblers on from Chamuguri in Kaliabor district of Assam.

The police seized Rs 40,660 cash along with a few suspicious documents along with four mobile handsets from the apprehended.

The gamblers have been identified as Aminul Haque Choudhury, Atikul Alam, Tariful Islam, Babul Hussain, Sirajul Islam, and Iyadul Haque.

Somewhat surprisingly, according to police reports, one of the arrested gamblers Atikul Alam is a teacher by profession.
