Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) winning candidate from Amethi, Smriti Irani has visited the Bagala Temple adjacent to Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati on Tuesday.
The BJP leader has visited the popular historic temple of Assam to offer prayers after winning the elections.
The security has been beefed up in and around the temple following the arrival of the BJP leader.
It is to be mentioned that Smriti Irani has defeated Congress president Rahul Gandhi in Amethi which was believed to be the most loyal constituency for the Gandhi family.
She won the Amethi seat with a margin of 55 thousand votes against Rahul Gandhi.
