Smuggled wood worth Rs 15 lakh seized in Gossaigaon

Gossaigaon, March 28, 2019:

A truck and a cart carrying illegal 'saal' wood have been seized on Thursday in a raid carried out by the Kasugaon Forest official team in Gossaigaon village in Kokrajhar district.

The team of Forest Department initiated the raid based on specific inputs of illegal wood log transportation in Rajmona, Moinabari, and Telipara, areas of Indo-Bangladesh border.

The seized wood logs are worth Rs 15 lakh as estimated by the team.
