Solve more cases than registered: Assam CM to Police

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister has announced that the state government will issue a notification to fill up 6000 posts in the Assam Police that have been lying vacant.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the notification will be for filling up 6000 posts of the police depart which will also include the commando battalions.

Sarma also added that along with the recruitment process, the state government will also take measures to upgrade the infrastructure of the police department and build 1000 new quarters for the police personnel.

He further added that apart from the recruitment process, the police personnel have been directed to solve as many cases as possible by March 31, 2021.

He also directed the police department to solve more cases than registered in Guwahati.
