ASSAM: SONARI LOCALS PROTESTED AGAINST EROSION OF EMBANKMENTS IN DISANGPANI RIVER

The Disangpani Dhemaji Beel Village of Sonari, Charaideo under Mahmora Constituency had a massive erosion of embankments in Disangpani River which created a havoc among the locals.

The BJP government did not took any action when the disang river dam broke out which flashed away many parts of the village. Under the banner of Tai Ahom Yuva Parisad and support of the locals took part a huge protest on the broken dam , in which they took the effigy of water resources Minister Keshab Mahanta and immersed the effigy in disang river .
