Sonowal announces cash reward for Runjun Pegu

Guwahati (Assam), September 30, 2018:

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday announced a cash reward of Rs.1.25 lakh for budding javelin thrower Runjun Pegu of Majuli.

She bagged a gold medal in javelin throw at the 58th National Open Athletic Championship in Bhubaneswar recently.

The 19-year-old athlete was warmly received by the locals when she returned to Majuli the other day.
