Guwahati, December 20, 2018:

The soldiers of the Indian Army's Gajraj Corps and Red horns Division took part in the ongoing Mock Drills of the State Level Disaster Management Exercise conducted by National and State Disaster Management authorities at Dispur.

The event was attended by Governor of Assam Jagdish Mukhi

The main aim of the exercise was to bring together all the stakeholders responsible for Disaster Management in the state and ensure seamless coordination during the conduct of relief operations.

The focus of the exercise was centered on Earthquakes as majority of areas in Assam are vulnerable to earthquakes and claim a large number of lives and cause lots of damage to property.
