Stone pelted at Congress's Tezpur candidate MGVK Bhanu during campaign

Sualkuchi, April 21, 2019:

Some unidentified miscreant pelted stones at Congress candidate MGVK Bhanu yesterday while addressing a public gathering at Sualkuchi in Assam ahead of Phase-III Lok Sabha election.

The incident happened on Saturday while Bhanu was campaigning for Bobbeeta Sharma, Congress candidate from Gauhati Lok Sabha Constituency which heads to the polls on during Phase-III of the election on 23 April.

Condemning the incident, Bhanu who has been appointed as the election in-charge of Jalukbari Assembly said, “This is not part of our Assamese culture and it is very unfortunate. Police will take necessary action against the person involved.”
