Illegal Stone Smuggling Incident at Tinsukia

A group of miscreants was found involved in illegal stone smuggling at the Tirap River in Tinsukia district of Assam.The miscreants were alleged to be smuggling stones in the name of stone mining from the Tirap River.

According to residents of Fangnang village, stone-smuggling has become a major issue in recent times. They further lamented that the forest department has not taken any actions regarding the issue.
