Many of the school kids consume ‘Strawberry Quick’ and instantly fall sick.
A notification has been sent out by the schools in Guwahati to the parents briefing them about the harmful drug.
The notification stated, “There is a type of crystal meth going around that looks like Strawberry Pop Rocks (the candy that sizzles and pops in the mouth). It smells like strawberry and it's being handed out to kids in schoolyards. They are calling it ‘Strawberry Meth or Strawberry Quick’.”

School authorities of Don Bosco, Panbazar have also notified that kids are ingesting this thinking it to be a candy and are being rushed to the hospitals in dire conditions.
Interestingly, the drug comes in chocolate, peanut, cola, cherry, grape and orange flavours to lure the students.

The authorities have also asked parents to instruct their children not to accept candies from strangers and refrain from taking candies that look similar to the drug from a friend.
