Stringent action against truant officials

Guwahati, October 23, 2018:

The chairman of Assam State Housing Board has directed the board’s commissioner to take stringent action against 35 officials who did not attend their duties during Tuesday’s statewide bandh.

According to reports, the board chairman Jadab Chandra Deka also directed the commissioner to deduct one day’s salary from their pay as well. The reports said the erring officials might be suspended.
