Susmita Deb threatens to destroy Assam Assembly building

Guwahati, December 27, 2018:

Mahila Congress Chief Sushmita Deb has threatened to destroy the Assam Assembly building if name of any Indian citizen was left out of the updated National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam.

The MP also threatened to take it to the street while addressing a rally at Nilambazar area under Karimganj South assembly constituency.

She vowed to take up the issue in the Lok Sabha

Dev said that the government should provide citizenship to all regardless of religion or caste and added that if the Citizenship Amendment Bill is passed in Lok Sabha, people of Barak would need to produce documents of Bangladesh.
