Suspected Hizb-ul linkman interrogated in Lanka

Guwahati, January 23, 2019:

A resident of Lanka, Hojai was apprehended during a raid conducted by a team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and taken to Lanka Police station on Tuesday.

The accused has been identified as Mahajin Anuwar Hussain of Lanka.

The team of NIA suspected for his involvement with Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, a separatist organization in Kashmir.

It may be mentioned that in the latter part of 2018, the Assam Police arrested a number of individuals for suspected connection with Hizb-ul-Mujahideen.
