Suspected NSLA-AT cadre arrested in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar (Assam), September 24, 2018:

A suspected cadre of the National Santhal Liberation Army-Anti-Talk (NSLA-AT) was by a team of the Kokrajhar Police, Indian Army and 210 CoBRA from Kokrajhar’s Chandrapur on Monday.

The arrested person has been identified as Swapan Mardi. He is resident of Chandrapur and is suspected to be active in the outfit for a very long time.

After the arrested, he led the team to a nearby jungle area where one factory-made 9 mm pistol, one magazine and four rounds of 9 mm live ammunition were recovered.

The team is currently interrogating the cadre for further leads.
