Suspected ULFA-I linkman arrested in Kakopathar

Guwahati, November 11, 2018:

A suspected linkman of the proscribed United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) has been arrested by a team of security forces from Kakopathar.

Sources said that the suspected person has been arrested based on specific inputs. He has been identified as Manikanta Bora of Borali Gaon. It has been suspected that he has been involved in multiple cases of cross border activities.

The team seized four letter heads of the ULFA-I and one mobile phone which might have been used for communicating with the ULFA-I members in Myanmar.

The police are currently interrogating him to figure out if he is actually linked with the outfit.
