Kamrup (R) Admin seals TCI office and parking lot over tax evasion

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup (Rural) Administration has sealed the office and parking place owned by the TCI freight in Changsari over tax evasion.

TCI, a transportation company of vehicles, was running the company along with a huge parking lot for over 15 years now without having proper documentation and paying tax.

Based upon that, The Kamrup (R) District Transport Department has sealed TCI's office and plot used to park transported vehicles as well.

Over 300 vehicles were there in the parking lot during the time of sealing, out of which, 65 were Tafe tractors, 18 were Eicher tractors and as many as 160 were two-wheelers.

North Guwahati Revenue Circle Office Rashmi Pratap informed, "The company has been doing business for last 15 years illegally. They do not even possess a license for this business from the concerned authority."
