Ten illegal Bangladeshis apprehended in Assam yet again

Guwahati, May 9, 2019:

In a major development just ahead of the release of the final NRC draft on July 31, a total 10 illegal migrants from Bangladesh were detained in Udalguri district of Assam on Wednesday.

The detained migrants have been already declared as foreigners by the Foreigners Tribunal.

As per police reports, nine persons have been arrested including four women who have been sent to a detention camp.

However, another person named Madhav Sarkar has been released by the police after interrogation.
