TEZPUR: The Tezpur Medical College and Hospital (TMCH) got a setup of five Intensive Care Units (ICU) and 45 oxygen beds in a recorded time of just three days, said Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Twitter.
The setup has done by the Indian Army's 4 Corps HQ.

"Oxygen beds are fast emerging as our biggest challenge. At our request, 4 Corps HQ at Tezpur has set up 5 ICU and 45 Oxygen beds in Tezpur Medical College in a record time of 3 days. What a feat! Grateful to GOC & his team for such commendable work," Chief minister Sarma wrote on his Twitter.

Meanwhile, Assam in the past 24 hours reported 5,657 new cases of COVID-19 and 71 more deaths related to the virus.
With these fresh cases, the state's cumulative tally of positive cases has reached 3,10,086, while the death toll has climbed up to 1909.
