Three NDFB-S militants arrested in Kerala

Guwahati, December 1, 2018:

Three suspected cadres of the banned National Democratic Front of Bodoland-Saraigwra (NDFB-) were arrested in Ernakulam, Kerala and these suspected militants will soon be handed over to the Assam police.

According to reports, Ernakulam Rural police based on some specific inputs arrested them from a plywood factory on Thursday. Each of the arrested cadres will be handed over to the Assam Police separately. Due to norms and security reasons, the police will be transporting each cadre separately in separate flights.

A six member Assam Police team has reached Kunnathunadu to take custody of the militants.

The arrested persons have been identified as B Mehar, aka Manu Basumataray, B Pritam Basumataray and Dhumketu Brahma. All of them are residents of Kokrajhar and were wanted in a case registered by the Gossaigaon police.
