Thunderstorm with gusty winds likely to affect several areas of Assam shortly: Meteorological Dept

Guwahati, April 6, 2019:

The meteorological department has informed that thunderstorm with gusty wind-cum-lightning is likely to affect various areas of Assam. Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon, South Salmara, Barpeta, Nalbari, and Kamrup (R) are expected to be impacted within the next ½ to 3 hours.

As per the Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati, the thunderstorm is likely to be accompanied with light to moderate rainfall and strong winds

Light-to-moderate rainfall is likely to affect Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon, south salmara,

Barpeta , Nalbari and Kamrup rural District within the next half to 3 hours.
