TKS to boycott R-Day celebrations in Manipur

Guwahati, January 25, 2019:

The Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) in Manipur has announced to boycott the Republic Day celebrations on January 26 in support of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) to mark the protest against controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

The TKS has ordered all its units to follow the same.

It also directed all the educational institutions and the students not to participate or take part in any of the Government activities or events related to the Republic Day celebration. It may be mentioned that the Yung Aung-led National Socialist Council of NSCN-K and Mizoram has also announced to boycott the Republic Day celebration.
