ASSAM: KULADHAR SAIKIA NEW DGP OF ASSAM

According to official sources,  Kuladhar Saikia, an officer of the Indian Police Service is the new DGP of Assam, succeeding Mukesh Sahai.

Earlier Saikia was also involved in issues of Community Development and Community Policing.

Kuladhar  Saikia was awarded the President's Police Medal award twice for his outstanding performance in policing. This charismatic persona was awarded the Prestigious  KATHA Award in 2000 and Sahitya Akademi Award in 2015.
