Twenty one Bangladeshi nationals were deported to Bangladesh under standard legal procedure at the Assam-Bangladesh border at Assam's Karimganj.
They completed a period of sentence prior to being handed over to border guards to be deported.
The Bangladeshi nationals had entered the country illegally at different points of time.

The names of some of the deported are Mir Powel Miya, Sofiqul Islam, Sabel Ahmed, Khairul Islam, Jahida Beg, Sufiya Begum, Abdul Wahid, Naseer Hussain and Ramjan Ali.
Most of the Bangladeshis had entered through the Indo-Bangladesh border at Duna and Dawki in Meghalaya and Tripura, but were arrested from the Karimganj and Cachar districts in Assam's Barak valley at different times. They were being held at Silchar detention camp and served a sentence lasting from 2-4 years.
Footage has arrived of the Bangladeshis being bid adieu by authorities with bag and baggage.
Apart from Bangladeshi border guards, their friends and relatives were also present at the border to receive them.
