Guwahati, January 2, 2018:

As InsideNe’s #SayNo2Spitting enters its second day, the campaign has started generating buzz on Twitter.

Ponjit Dowarah, ADCP (PCR) has also shown support for the campaign and implored people not to make the streets dirty. “Please, please, don’t make the places dirty. These are your property”, his tweet read.

Social media correspondent of Assam state’s NSUI (National Students’ Union of India) Arunabh Hazarika, tweeting about the campaign, stated that: “Spitting here and there doesn’t suit a gentle citizen, be a responsible citizen & avoid these activities”.

Citizens’ journalist Gaurav Pratim Dey also showed support for the campaign on Twitter. His tweet read: “You need to respect your state’s property. Do not leave red stains behind.”

The initiative to put a FULL STOP to the ugly phenomenon of spitting in government offices, hospitals, restrooms, etc, has been undertaken by the team of InsideNe in order to promote a clean and green environment without the red stains of spit spoiling the view.

Although our efforts to stop this widespread phenomenon may seem humble at first, but we are all aware of the fact that Rome was not built in a day. Thus, we hope you will join our efforts in trying to end this malpractice by raising public awareness regarding the issue. You too can do your part, so do support our campaign spread the word. It's time for change!
