Kokrajhar, May 7, 2019:

Two Indian Premier League (IPL) bookies were nabbed today in the Jhagrarpar area of Dhubri district in Assam.

The gambling bookies were nabbed after additional SP Nirupam Hazarika, assisted by DSP (DSB) Shekhar Joyoti Das, launched an operation to bring the errant duo to justice.

The two gamblers are yet to be identified.

A solid sum of Rs. 5 lakh, two mobile handsets, a motorcycle, and other materials were seized from the gamblers.

A case has been initiated for further course of action.

The Indian Premier League is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in India contested during March or April and May of every year by eight teams representing eight different cities in India. The league was founded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India in 2008.
