The Troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force apprehended two Indian drug smugglers on 28 March 2019, from the Indo-Bangladesh border of Patamari in Assam's Dhubri district.
Based on specific information of BSF intelligence branch, troops of the BSF deployed in Dhubri under BSF Guwahati Frontier were keeping surveillance and dominating the riverine border area.
While suspiciously moving, two miscreants were apprehended by troops before crossing to international boundary along with 10,500 Strips of Sukhi (contraceptive) tablets.
Apprehended drug smugglers are Monorowa Bewa (48) from Dhubri (Assam) and Apruja Bibi (30), also from Dhubri (Assam). They have been handed over to PS Dhubri for further legal action.
