Bodies of two dead wild elephants were recovered from the Rani reserve forest on the outskirts of Guwahati on Saturday. Both the elephants died of electrocution, forest officials said.
A herd of elephants reportedly ventured out of the Rani forest in search of food.

Body the bodies of the elephants were towed away by crane and buried later by forest officials.
