Ugratara Theft | Jewellery shop owner arrested

Guwahati, November 21, 2018:

The police have arrested a jewellery shop owner in connection with the Ugratara theft case.

According to the reports, the person arrested has been identified as Rakesh Kumar. Rakesh is the owner of a jewellery shop in Paltan Bazar. He was arrested based on the confessional statements by the accused thieves.

The arrested thieves have claimed that the idol was sold to Rakesh but he has denied the allegations.

The police are yet to find the trace of the idol.
