DIGBOI: The United Liberation Front of Assam (Independent) (ULFA-I) has denied any involvement in today's grenade blast in Assam's Tinsukia district, which killed one person and injured three others.

The organisation had been suspected as being behind the explosion.

Issuing a press statement this evening, ULFA-I clarified that,“ The organisation does not have any involvement in today's grenade blast which took place at Tingrai Bazar Tinsukia."

According to the organisation, it is a planned plot, to put the newly formed Assam government in a fix.

ULFA also clarified that when their letter to oil and gas sectors of Assam demanding transperant recruitment for locals went viral, some took advantage of that and tried to depict the ULFA in a poor light.
