ULFA (I) releases second Quippo hostage Ram Kumar

TINSUKIA: The United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) today released the second abducted employee of Quippo, Ram Kumar, after four months of captivity.

As per reports, Kumar was released in an undisclosed location along the Indo-Myanmar border in Arunachal Pradesh this morning.

Ram Kumar, 35, is reportedly in safe custody of Assam Riles and likely to be handed over to the police later in the day.

Kumar, a native of Bihar was working as a radio operator with Quippo when he was abducted by ULFA (I) militants.

ULFA (I) on April 3 had released drilling superintendent of Quippo Pranab Kumar Gogoi.

Both Kumar and Gogoi, employees of Quippo Oil and Gas Infrastructure Ltd were kidnapped from a Quippo rig in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh on December 21.
