Suspected ULFA-I lance corporal apprehended

Guwahati, January 11, 2019:

A suspected lance corporal of the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA-I) was apprehended from Khunchar near Tirab border of Arunachal Pradesh by Assam Riffles on Thursday and handed over to Dimow police.

The accused identified as Mukunda Nath has been suspected to have involvements in the IED blast in Dimow.

Nath will be produced before the Sivasagar court on Friday.

It may be mentioned that one suspected ULFA-I linkman was also apprehended by apprehended by a team of CRPF and Police from Namtola near Assam- Nagaland border in Charaideo district of Assam. He is suspected to have helped the youths to join the outfit through social media contacts.
