A team of the pro-talks faction of insurgent group United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) visited the Dhola carnage victims’ families on Tuesday to express condolence and support to them.
Prabal Neog of the ULFA faction said the families were living in a state of fear following the incident of killings.
“We assured them that no one will harm them any further and everyone in the state is going to support them,” he said after visiting the families.
He appealed to people to not make any communal or provocative statements. At the same time, he urged the state government to take action against all those who had made communal remarks.
