Ulfa (I) faction has released a video backing the Chinese against the Indian government on the current India-China standoff. The organisation has evoked the old connections in Assam and China in a bid to support the Chinese in a video. The video portrays Ulfa's supportive stance for China.
In the video, they stated, that Assam and Chinese connection dates back to the time of Hiuen Tsang visited the region. Ulfa (I) have also raised the organic exchanges between the two regions that led to the setup of Bor Axom and that it consists of more than the 1000 year of the relationship.
The organisation also highlighted that Jawaharlal Nehru tried to violate the India-China treaty of no arms by trying to camp in Aksai Chin and following that the Tibet issue also gained ground. As for the Arunachal Pradesh's entry of the Chinese, they didn't attack the locals, as per the outfit.

Ulfa (I) then talks about the recent Galwan valley encounter and accuses that due to the Indian Govt's lapses more than 20 soldiers have died. They have also accused that the Indian government should have resorted to diplomacy instead of aggression, which has led to the Chinese to respond.
After that it has raised the issue of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), 1958 is an act of the Parliament of India that grant special powers to the Indian Armed Forces the power to maintain public order in “disturbed areas”. They have also accused the use of state forced to exploit the resources of Assam such as coal and natural gas.

Ulfa (I) has previously taken out such statements against the Indian government. But, this is the first time, they openly made such remarks showing sympathy towards the Chinese. Does it indicate, the insurgent group's backing from China?
