Ulfa(I) deputy c-in-c Drishti Rajkhowa was along with Sohan D Shira: Meghalaya Police

Guwahati, February 24, 2019:

Reports of United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) Deputy Commander-In-Chief  Drishti Rajkhowa's presence in the area of Sohan D. Shira's encounter has come to light.

The Meghalaya police have stated that Rajkhowa was present in the area along with Sohan while the operation was on. However, whether Rajkhowa escaped or was injured, could not be ascertained.

It may be mentioned that Drishti Rajkhowa alias Manoj Rabha, one of the close confidantes of ULFA(I) C-in-C Paresh Barua had been working closely with the GNLA.

It may be mentioned that GNLA C-in-C Sohan D Shira was killed by a SWAT team of the Meghalaya police in an encounter early on Saturday at Dobu in East Garo Hills.
