Newly-inducted Union Minister Rameswar Teli was felicitated in Assam's Tinsukia district on Thursday. Rameswar Teli was appointed the Minister of State in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. He is the only representative from Assam in Modi Cabinet 2.0.
Teli, who also won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Dibrugarh on a BJP ticket, received a warm welcome in Tinsukia and was greeted by many enthusiastic followers.
The Union Minister was welcomed with drums to Tinsukia's Thana Chariali area where a victory ceremony had been arranged for the BJP leader. Tinsukia MLA Sanjay Kisan was also present at the ceremony. Many senior AGP and BJP members were also present at the ceremony. Teli was greeted with cheers of Bharat Maata ki Jai (glory be to 'mother India') and given a 'japi' and 'seleng chadar' as a token of respect.
Addressing mediapersons here, Teli said that the morale of the BJP party workers is at an all-time high due to the victory in the recent elections and promised to do his part to serve effectively as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
