Minority Cell of United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) has filed an FIR with Kokrajhar police station against expelled party member Prithibiraj Narayan Dev Mech for his unwanted remarks against the UPPL party chief Pramod Boro and other party leaders.

Addressing reporters at a press conference held at UPPL party office on Wednesday in Kokrajhar, Hanif Ali, president of Minority Cell of UPPL, vice president of UPPL Mainul Haque and minority cell secretary Nur Hassan informed that UPPL has filed an FIR against Dev Mech and demanded strict action against him.

Hanif Ali said that Dev Mech has referred UPPL president Pramod Boro and it's leaders as "Jinnah and Mirzafar" recently. The UPPL leaders stated that Dev Mech had used un parliamentary words against UPPL leaders.

Ali informed that Dev Mech was expelled recently from UPPL due to his anti-party activities and so now he is making unsuited remarks on UPPL party and it's leaders. Ali said that UPPL has demanded CBI investigation into properties of Dev Mech as he has amassed huge wealth in recent times. Ali also alleged that Dev Mech has earned money to the tune of crores illegally by misleading people in the name of filing RTI in the region. He said that Dev Mech's allegation and remarks are totally baseless.

Mainul Haque said that Dev Mech has uttered unsuitable remarks on UPPL and it is not at allnot acceptable in today's age.

He demanded proper investigation must be conducted against Dev Mech. On the other hand, Nur Hassan informed that the recently signed BTR accord (Bodoland Territorial Region) is an accord of inclusive solution to the Bodo issues for the region.
